: The total number of blood products sent in this study was collected in an aggregated monthly manner over the past 10 years from blood transfusion centers nationwide, without disclosing the identities or details of blood recipients and donors, following the protocol provided and approved by Research Ethics Committees of High Institute for Education and Research in Transfusion Medicine (IR.TMI.REC.1399.031). Research Ethics Committees of High Institute for Education and Research in Transfusion Medicine Province waived the need for informed consent.
