: Ethical clearance was obtained from the research publication committee of Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (Re.No.MU/PGS/SAEC/Vol.VI/). The permission to conduct the study was granted by the Executive Director of Muhimbili National Hospital. Written information sheets were provided to potential informants. Thus, both written and verbal consent was obtained from each informant and information was handled with maximum confidentiality. Despite the fact that the in-charge nurse assisted in recruitment, informants were free to choose to participate or not. Thus, there was no external influence. The author(s) had no relationship with the participants or the setting where research was conducted.
