Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Following a lecture students were informed about the proposed study and invited to participate. An information leaflet was provided to potential participants describing the study. Interested students voluntarily booked a set date and time that suited them to participate. Written consent to participate in the study was then received on arrival to the simulation laboratory.This study comes within the category “educational evaluation” within our institution; therefore, ethical exemption approval was granted by the University ethics committee (UCD Human Research Ethics Committee-Sciences (HREC-LS) (Reference NO: LS-E-19-138-Hardie-Jarvis).
