: All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Under the guidance of principles of the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki [CitationRef removed], it was taken into consideration to respect participants’ rights and to protect their health and rights. This study adheres to ethical principles. The research was approved by the Ethics Committee of Semnan University of Medical Sciences (Approval: IR.SEMUMS.REC.1398.250). The researchers started data collection after obtaining permission from the nursing school officials. The students who were eligible to enter the study were selected by taking a list of names from the faculty’s Office of Educational Services. The researchers visited the classrooms and hospitals (for senior students taking internships in the clinical setting) to collect the data. Since the current study was cross-sectional and the only risk was participants’ privacy, the researchers introduced themselves to the students and briefed them about the study objectives and methods, the confidentiality of the data, the voluntary nature of participating in the study, and answered students’ questions. Written informed consent for study participation was obtained from all nursing students. The questionnaires were then distributed among the students and they were asked to complete and return them in the presence of the researcher.
