: The study was conducted in accordance with the principle of the Helsinki Declaration. Ethical clearance was approved by the ethical clearance committee of the School of Nursing on behalf of the IRB of the University of Gondar (IRB 253/2014). Following approval, a written official letter of cooperation was submitted to each hospital administration office before data collection. Informed written and signed consent was taken from the study participants. The right to participate or withdraw from the study at any time, without any requirement was disclosed clearly and all the study participants’ rights were respected and the confidentiality of the information obtained from participants was guaranteed by all data collectors and investigators by using code numbers and keeping the questionnaires locked. Nurses were informed information provided to them was confidential and their name was not mentioned.
