: This retrospective analysis of routinely collected clinical patient record data was part of an internal quality improvement program. Due to the retrolective nature of this investigation, necessity for patient informed consent to participate was exempt by the institutional review board of Diaverum Germany in accordance with German legal requirements (§ 27 BDSG, Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) enabling anonymized ‘data processing for scientific or historical research purposes’.
