: The Tuscan Regional Regulation DPGR 6/R/2013 authorizes patient data use to evaluate the quality of service, also by means of patient surveys. This legislative act does not ask for permission from an Ethical Committee when interviewing the population and patients with regard to satisfaction and experience in health care services. This survey is considered as a service quality measurement activity and does not require an Ethics committee involvement. All the respondents in the survey gave their verbal informed consent to participating in the study.
