: Twenty ADDOs were randomly sampled from a government registry; three additional ADDOs and three pharmacies were purposefully sampled to increase heterogeneity in shop size and type. Research assistants contacted the drug shop owner by phone to provide information about the study and, if interested, arrange to meet to obtain written informed consent. All participants provided written informed consent. All participants (shopkeepers) were above 18 years in age. Aggregate purchasing data on customers, who were not research subjects, was recorded by participants or voluntary anonymous feedback forms that did not include any protected health information. Ethical approvals were obtained from the Tanzanian National Institute of Medical Research and the University of California, San Francisco. All methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations.
