: Research ethical approval for the study was obtained by the Norwegian Centre for Research Data (Ref. 46872) and The Committee for Medical and Health Research Ethics of South-East Norway reviewed the study (Ref. 2016/78). Permission was given by the heads of administration of the participating hospitals. Information and an invitation to participate in the study were released to healthcare professionals in written and verbal form and referred to the principle of autonomy addressed by confidentiality and voluntariness. Written informed consent was obtained from the healthcare professionals who agreed to participate. To help secure the anonymity of the participants, which represented a small surgical ward, the researchers decided not to specify the participants’ background.
