: The study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Board of the Centre de Recherches Médicales de Lambaréné (, reference number: CEI-CERMEL 008/2016). An authorisation was sought from the Regional Health Director for the Moyen-Ogooué province as well as the respective heads of the participating facilities before initiation of the assessment. All respondents were informed of the purpose of the study, as well as they were assured of the confidentiality as study participants. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants included. Respondents were free to decline to participate at any time, or to withdraw from the study. The study was conducted in line with the Good Clinical Practice principles of the International Conference on Harmonization and the Declaration of Helsinki.After the study, all participating structures were provided with information about the study results and specific recommendations for TBIC in line with the WHO guidelines.
