: This study is a secondary analysis of NHSS data. The NHSS obtained ethics approval from the institutional review board of the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics (license number 2013–65 and 2018–87). All participants provided informed consent for household-based survey. For minors, informed consents were obtained from their legally authorized representatives/guardians. For data in our study, patient confidentiality was protected in the following ways: 1) data were de-identifiers before their use in research and 2) the use of data for these purposes was closely overseen by the Beijing Municipal Health Big Data and Policy Research Center. This study was approved by Peking University Health Science Center and Beijing Municipal Health Big Data and Policy Research Center. All methods were carried out in accordance with the ethical standards of the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics and other relevant guidelines and regulations.
