: This study was part of a larger project focusing on the evaluation of outpatients’ health status. The study was performed in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki, and Swedish research regulations. Ethical approval was granted by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority (#2020–03010) to conduct the register-based retrospective quantitative analysis using data from the hospital’s information systems including data generated through the PoC dashboard, including e.g. PROM data. As the register-based study used already collected data, per clinical routine, used in analysis on group level, and presented in aggregated format without identifiers, written consent was not required by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority, in line with the Swedish Ethical Review Act (2018:1999). Ethics approval for collecting data on healthcare professionals’ experiences of using the dashboard in a focus group interview was deemed unnecessary according to the Swedish Ethical Review Act (2018:1999). This since the information collected was classified as non-sensitive data, that is not related to e.g., respondents’ health status, sexual orientation, political opinions or genetic data. The participants were given both written and verbal information and consented orally to participate in the beginning of the focus group interview. Due to the pandemic, the focus group interview was conducted digitally, and the participants were informed that they could leave the focus group interview at any time by logging out from the digital meeting. The non-sensitive nature of data collected, did according to the Swedish Ethical Review Act (2018:1999), not require written consent. All data collection related to the work included in this thesis was approved by the operations manager, the head of the department at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
