: All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations following the Declaration of Helsinki. Ethical approval was obtained from Arba Minch University (AMU), the college of medicine and health sciences (CMHS), Institutional Research Ethics Review Board (IRB) with approval number IRB/1156/2021. A formal letter for permission and support was written from Arba Minch University to the public Hospitals in which this study was conducted. Permission, informed, voluntary written and signed consent of the heads of the Hospitals were obtained and formal communication was held with nurse directors. Then, all the study participants were informed about the purpose of the study and their right to refuse. If they are willing to participate, informed, voluntary written and signed consent was obtained from all study participants before distributing the questionnaire. This is because for studies that were not clinical trials that involve invasive procedures, taking verbal or written consent was the standard requirement of the Institutional Research Ethics Review Board (IRB) of Arba Minch University. The anonymity of the participants was respected via the use of codes rather than the name of the participant and the hospital name. To ensure confidentiality, the names of the participants were not reported in the findings of the study.
