Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The Ethics Approval REC No. 12/EE/0253 from the UK National Research Ethics Service (NRES) covers the ethical issues involved the generation and culture of the murine pancreas-derived organoids used in the LSFM4LIFE project and in this work. Medical ethical approval for the use of patient liver tumour biopsies for research purposes has been granted by the Medical Ethical Committee (METC) of the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands (MEC-2014-060). Patients provided written informed consent and all methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations.
