: For all cohorts, ethics approval and informed consent to participate in the study are available (cohort i: Institutional review board of Aachen and Ulm universities, cohort ii: for human RNA-seq studies, human liver samples were obtained from the Human Biorepository Core from the NIH-funded international InTeam consortium (7U01AA021908-05).
