: All the equine swabs were collected by qualified and experienced veterinarians as a part of routine health and diagnostic investigations. Upon swab collections, all animals remained in the care of their owners. The testing and use of these swabs were approved by University of the Sunshine Coast Animal Ethics approval exemption (ANE1719, ANA19149; ANE1939).
