: This study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Institute of Special Animal and Plant Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (approval number No.ISAPSAEC-2021-60C). We had obtained consent from pet hospitals to collect the samples used in our research. Fecal and nasal swabs, from which samples were collected, were handled with good animal practices required by the Animal Ethics Procedures and Guidelines of the People’s Republic of China (AEPGPRC). Confirmed by the Animal Ethics Committee of Institute of Special Animal and Plant Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, all of our methods were complied with the statement of the ARRIVE guidelines report. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
