: Ethics approval was deemed unnecessary by the second local Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee in Krakow. All experiments were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations and complied with the Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments (ARRIVE) guidelines. The collection of samples from all female dogs referred to the clinic was obtained according to classical clinical practices and with the owner’s written consent.
