Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Only previously generated data from de-identified human tumor samples implanted in immunodeficient mice were used in this study. The procedures for patient samples and data collection were conducted with approval by The Jackson Laboratory Institutional Review Board (reference #121200011). Patient consent was obtained by the institutions that donated the tumor material for PDX generation and included an agreement to distribute animal models, tissue, and data without restriction. Procedures for generating the PDX models were conducted under Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) protocol #12027.
