: Anonymized clinical samples from patients or blood donors were derived from a pre-established Biobank at the Laboratory for Experimental Parasitology at the Academic Medical Centre (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and were collected in accordance with the Dutch Medical Research involving Human Subjects Act.
