: The University of Newcastle’s Human Research Ethics Committee has approved the current study (H-2018-0492). In addition, ethics approval has been obtained from the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle in NSW, Australia. Written consent will be obtained from Principals, teachers, parents and students for collection and use of participant data. Students who do not return their consent form will participate in the regular teaching activities in either the CUPS lessons or usual mathematics lessons. These students will also participate in all other tasks together with their consenting peers. However, we will only use data from consenting children in our research.
