: The study complied with the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association, and was approved by the Ethics Committee of The First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. All 12 patients were fully informed of the aim and protocol of the study, and gave written informed consent to provide excised keloid tissues and adjacent normal skin tissues for scientific research and publication. All institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals were followed.
