Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study was conducted in confirmation of ethical guidelines for research involving human subjects. Ethical clearance was obtained from the Institutional Review Board of the University of Gondar Institute of Public Health. Communication with the different official administrators was made through formal letter obtained from the University of Gondar. Data was collected after the objective and aim of the study have been informed. Written consent was obtained from parents’ or legal guardians’ on a voluntary basis. The confidentiality of information was guaranteed by using code numbers rather than personal identifiers and by keeping the data locked. Participants were told to decline at any time if they feel uncomfortable, even after the interview has started.
