Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Tissue specimens from 141 archived de-identified individuals with breast cancer were randomly selected from tissue bank. A written informed consent was waivered. The study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of respective institution including Lifespan Rhode Island and The Miriam Hospital (USA) and The First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University (P.R. China). All procedures were conducted according to regulations and guidelines approved by ethics committee at respective institution.For orthotopic breast cancer model, all of the animal experiments were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Rhode Island Hospital, Brown University.For experimental lung metastatic (tail vein injection) model, all of the animal experiments were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Harbin Medical University.
