Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethics approval was obtained from the Research Ethics Board of (blinded for review), protocol #112164. All participants signed informed consent for data collection and publication. Participant quotes used in the findings and the degree of photograph attribution varies based on the distinct requests of study participants. Some asked for their real name to be used, some asked for the use of a pseudonym, and some asked to remain anonymous. In all cases, we have honoured their preferences. Photographs of people are included with their written consent. Most photographs are accompanied by a quote whereby the participant shares the meaning of the photograph. However, some of the photographs stand-alone based on their strength in illustrating the theme and transcending verbal description.
: The data sets generated and/or analysed during the current study are not publicly available due to privacy and confidentiality related to qualitative and photograph data.
