: The BeHERE training evaluation was originally conducted for the sole purpose of quality improvement, to understand which aspects of the training are effective and which require modifications to be more satisfying or effective. Thus, the evaluation design was not reviewed by an Internal Review Board nor were consent forms completed by evaluation participants. After reviewing the findings, however, it was determined that the findings could be useful to others engaged in the provision of online training for those addressing SUDs in their work, particularly those working in environments where treating SUDs is not the main priority of their organization or program. While individual consent forms are not available, steps were taken to protect the identity of evaluation participants. For example, participants’ responses to the PTE and follow-up survey were anonymous and key informants were assured that their names would not be used in the reporting of results (i.e., findings would be aggregated, and quotes would not reveal the identity of the individuals that provided them). Additionally, participation in the evaluation was voluntary. Participants could choose not to respond to the surveys and request for an interview. Participants could also skip questions in the surveys or interviews if they chose.
