: As mentioned in the article, this study is retrospective, and when we started to practice this technique and operate children, there was no local Institutional Ethics Committee in the institutions where the patients were operated. In this particular situation, the medical staff of the concerned departments had approved this study. Furthermore, after an explanation and information of the technique’s aims and a description of the possibilities of involved risks, the patient’s parents gave their consent before the child was operated on.
