: The experimental protocols for human semen were approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee, PGIMER, Chandigarh, vide letter number IEC-08/2017–678 and were carried out in accordance with the committee’s guidelines. An informed consent was obtained from all the subjects before participation in the study.The animal experimental protocols were approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee of the Panjab University, Chandigarh, India vide letter no. PU/IAEC/S/15/72 and were performed in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA).
