: The present research is purely based on field surveys. The ethical approval to conduct the study was given by the Ethics Committee of the Women University of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Bagh before initiating the surveys. In addition to this, legal permission to conduct interviews was given by members of municipality committee. A Prior Informed Consent form (PIC) was signed by all the informants after explaining the objective and consequence of study. The PIC was translated into local <i>Pahari</i> language. The ethical guidelines provided by the International Society of Ethnobiology (ExternalRef removed) were strictly followed.
