Ethics approval and consent to participate

: Currently, there are no standard guidelines on ethics committee approval for observational studies. In spite of this, registration and endorsement from the ethical committee can be considered necessary to prevent bad practice in research even if no experimental interventions are planned.Each patient eligible for the study will be asked to sign an additional informed consent to authorize personal and clinical data collection.The protocol has been submitted to Niguarda Hospital ethical committee and is now under evaluation for formal review and approval.
