: The study proposal underwent a thorough review and received approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences/University of Rwanda. This ensures that the research adheres to ethical standards and guidelines.
: The purpose of the study (to assess the outcomes of nonsurgical treatment for humeral shaft fractures in adult patients) was clearly communicated to all participants. Written informed consent was obtained from adult patients aged 18 years and older following the 2018 Rwandan Ministry of Health consent guidelines. For participants under 18 years old (minor patients), an assent form was used, and it was signed by their parents or caretakers. This process ensured that participants or their legal guardians fully understood the study and agreed to participate voluntarily.
