: No study participants were involved in the preparation of this article, that was conducted during routine analysis. Moreover, the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale del Mezzogiorno (IZSM) was designated by the National Ministry of Health as official laboratory for the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2, thus, for national regulation and internal policy, ethic approval was deemed unnecessary.
