: All participants received written correspondence comprising study information, a data privacy statement, an online access code and an accompanying letter from the German Federal Ministry of Health. Informed consent was given either verbally (telephone arm), by ticking the informed consent box (online questionnaire) or by accepting the conditions (study content, data protection, data processing and storage) in sending back the filled-in questionnaire. Participants were informed about the voluntary nature of their participation and confidentiality of their data.
