: Breast cancer tissue was obtained with written informed consent through Sahlgrenska University Hospital and all patients gave written consent for the use of material for research purposes. The study was approved by the Regional Ethic Authority in Gothenburg (reference 515–12). Mice were housed in Experimental Biomedicine Animal Unit, University of Gothenburg and the study was approved by the Animal Research Ethics Committee of Gothenburg, and proper animal experimentation guidelines were followed.
