: Tissue collection was approved by the Institutional Review Board at each institution. Informed consent was obtained from all patients (and from a parent or guardian for participants < 18 years old) for future research use of excess tissue not needed for diagnostic purposes. The NIH Office of Human Subjects Research Protections reviewed the protocol components to be completed at NIH (RNA isolation, transcriptome analyses, and immunohistochemical studies in de-identified samples) and concluded that these activities are excluded from IRB Review per 45 CFR 46 and the NIH policy for the use of specimens/data.
