Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The Central Health and Disability Ethics Committee, New Zealand, granted ethics approval on 22 June 2017, approval number 17/CEN/88. Prior to commencing the baseline visit, fieldworkers will obtain written informed consent from each study participant. Participants who agree to provide additional blood and faecal samples, which may be used for future unspecified research, will complete a second consent form. Any research undertaken using these samples will require a separate ethics approval.
