Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study protocol was approved by the London – South East Research Ethics Committee (reference number 14/LO/1696) and the National Offender Management Service (reference number 2014-315). Research and development approval will be sought and obtained for each trial site by the relevant NHS Trust and NPS lead in each geographical area.A key inclusion criterion for trial participants is adequate English language and cognitive capacities to participate in informed consent and group therapy. Potential participants will be provided with participant information sheets before providing consent. Each site’s lead MBT clinician will assess potential participants’ capacity to provide informed consent and will countersign the consent form if satisfied.
