: This study was conducted in the framework of the Pan African Tsetse and Trypanosomosis Eradication Campaign (PATTEC) in Burkina Faso, led by the Ministry of Animal and Halieutic Resources and African Union/Pan African Tsetse and Trypanosomosis Eradication Campaign (AU/PATTEC) coordination office. The project received official approval from presidential decision N° 2005-402/PRES/PM/MAECR/MS/MFB. For the insecticide aerial spraying, the official approval N°2009-00313/MRA/CAB was received from the Ministries of Animal Resources, Agriculture, Environment, Health and Defense.
