: All animal protocols were approved by the Faculty of Tropical Medicine-Animal Care and Use Committee (FTM-ACUC) of Mahidol University (Project No. FTM-ACUC.2011/008). The human sera used in the present study were stored specimens that had been used in previous serological surveys/diagnostic testing. All patient identifiers had been removed, and no patient consent was required for this study. All procedures were approved by the Human Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University (Project No. TMEC 11-040).
