The German samples were collected during the PEST project (2017–2020), which was funded by the Hessian Agency for Nature Conservation, Environment and Geology, Hessian Centre on Climate Change. The conduct of this study was approved by the Ethical Review Board (ERB) of the Nepal Health Research Council, Government of Nepal ([CitationRef removed]; 351/2012 and 381/2017).
