: The ethical clearance of this study was reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee of the Angolan Ministry of Health (25/C.E.M.S./2023). All relevant authorities were also informed about the purpose and procedures of the study. Participation in the study was voluntary and written informed consent was obtained from all volunteers. All procedures were carried out in accordance with the ethical standards described in the Revised Declaration of Helsinki of 2013. All clinical and epidemiologic data were anonymized. The individuals diagnosed with intestinal parasites received appropriate treatment.
