: All animal procedures were in accordance with the University of Miami Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee and followed the NIH Guidelines, “Using Animals in Intramural Research.” Mbd5<sup>+/GT</sup> and wild-type littermate control mice, on a C57BL/6 genetic background, were housed 2–4 per cage in a temperature- and humidity-controlled room with 12-h light/dark cycle (lights on at 6 am, off at 6 pm). Food and water was available ad libitum.
