Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethical approval for field collection was provided by the Chad Federal Ministry of Public Health (Clearance No. 423/PR/MSP/DG/PNLP/2018). Prior to collection, a meeting was held with the local authorities and target houses at N’djamena and Massakory to explain the scope of the study and its benefits to malaria control. A written and signed informed consent was obtained from individuals who agreed to indoor collection in their houses. All communication was carried out in the local language (Chadian Arabic).
