: Ethical approval to conduct the study was obtained from Addis Ababa University, Institutional Review Board (IRB). Supportive letters to conduct the study were obtained from Federal Ministry of Health, Addis Ababa University and Regional Health Bureau. Permission was requested from local administration’s administrators while informed written consent was obtained from each respondents/legal guardians prior for the interview; sample drawing and respondents were participated based on their willingness. Clinical malaria cases were treated immediately at the health post as per the national malaria diagnosis and treatment guideline and referred for any complications. Confidentiality of all information was kept; the questioners were locked in the shelf.
