This study complies with all current Austrian laws and regulations concerning work with wildlife. The experimental setup was performed under Animal Experiment Licence Numbers BMWFW-66.006/0011-WF/II/3b/2014 and BMWFW-66.006/0026-WF/V/3b/2014 by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Science and Research. We confirm that the owner of the land, the Duke of Cumberland, gave permission to conduct the study on this site. Birds were habituated to the presence of humans.
