: All applicable international, national, and institutional guidelines for care and use of animals were followed. In particular, fish were caught and handled following recommendations contained in the American Fisheries Society’s guidelines for the <i>Use of Fishes in Research</i> authored by a joint committee of the American Fisheries Society, the American Institute of Fishery Research Biologists, and the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists (located at ExternalRef removed).
