: INSIGHTS into the Microbiome and Environmental Contributions to Sickle Cell Disease and Leg Ulcers Study (NCT02156102) was approved by the National Institutes of Health Institutional Review Board for protocol number 14HG0125. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Participants agreed to participate and were consented prior to any data collection. Participants were compensated after study completion. Living with Sickle Cell Disease in the COVID-19 Pandemic (NCT04417673) Study approval was obtained through the National Institutes of Health Institutional Review Board for protocol number 20HGN125. All eligible individuals agreed to participate in the study prior to data collection and were compensated with a $20 electronic gift card upon completion.
