: The TwinLife study received ethical approval from the German Psychological Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie; protocol number: RR 11.2009) and thus met the ethical standards of the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its subsequent amendments. The Corona supplemental survey was also approved as ethically safe by the Ethics Committee of the University of Bielefeld (Application No. 2020-106). Prior to the interview, participants were comprehensively informed in writing about the scope and purpose of the study, their right to refuse or withdraw from participation at any time, and the data protection regulations. Informed consent was obtained from all participants and their legal guardians if they were under 14 years of age. This procedure is documented in protocol number RR 11.2009_amd_09.2013 of the Ethics Committee from the German Psychological Society.
