: SS is an Assistant Professor in the Midwifery Department, Faculty of Sciences, Celal Bayar University. Her PhD thesis was about infertile women’s experience of stigmatisation. SS is an Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department, Faculty of Sciences Celal Bayar University. Her PhD thesis was ‘A model of contraceptive use: a grounded theory study’. Both researchers has used qualitative research methods in their PhD theses. AC is a midwife in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at Hafsa Sultan Hospital, Celal Bayar University. She has a Master’s degree.
: The participants were recruited to the study on a voluntary basis. Before any meetings took place, the researchers informed the participants about the purpose, length and benefits of the study, and the written, informed consent of the participants was obtained.This research was approved by the Ethical Board of Celal Bayar University.
