: Institutional Review Board approval was granted on 11/01/2019 by the Prevention Strategies Review Board as a result of a full review. Prevention Strategies has a Federal-wide Assurance (#00000680) on file with OHRP (Office for Human Research Protections), and as part of this assurance, it operates one IRB. As required by regulations, the IRB has 5 members with varying backgrounds and expertise to promote complete and adequate review of research activities conducted by the company. Specifically, the standing IRB membership consists of 3 scientists and 1 nonscientist (who are unaffiliated with Prevention Strategies) and one internal IRB member. Our study was performed in accordance with the standards of ethics outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki with the exception that we did not register the study in advance, given that it was not a clinical trial.
